Talem Home Care Gives Back

Fighting Childhood Cancer on a Motorcycle

At Talem Home Care, we encourage all our teammates to get involved in their communities. Each of our franchise offices is a small, community-driven business. As small businesses located throughout the country, we want each franchisee to take pride in their community which means getting involved and giving back. Here is a story about Melissa Snyder, a team member from our Broomfield, CO office and her support for the fight against cancer:

Small business community efforts

Cancer touches 1 out of 3 families. With this staggering statistic in mind, Melissa proudly rode her motorcycle along with countless bikers for a Biker’s Fighting Against Childhood Cancer Run. The goal of the event was to build support for the families of children who have been stricken with a cancer diagnosis.

Melissa Snyder knows what its like to journey the rough road of Cancer. She is a former Breast Cancer Survivor after following a radical double mastectomy, chemotherapy, and radiation almost two years ago.

Cancer never took her spirit but she knows the pain and difficulties of dealing with cancer. She cannot imagine what it’s like for a child living with cancer. Today, she continues to support others who are bravely fighting their good fight against the deadly disease.

Melissa’s advice is simple.  “Trust in God, as with Him, all things are truly possible.”  Strong faith and a positive outlook led to her survivorship and she wants to spread words of encouragement to people of all backgrounds and ages, whether she is on two wheels riding through the wind or walking the road less traveled.

When you join the Talem Team, you can be assured that you have a whole new support team for community-driven endeavors that are important to you.
